After the quiz they worked on a worksheet, using pronouns and the verb ser. This is not homework, and will be finished tomorrow.
We also went over the quiz they just took, to prepare them even more for the test tomorrow.
Replacing people's names or nouns with pronouns:
María – ella
María y yo – nosotros/nosotras El turista = él
Juan y Pedro = ellos

Using the word 'de" to imply where you are from or possession of an item:
You use "de" to say what city or country you are from.
Yo soy de Mexico. = I am from Mexico.
Ellos son de España. = They are from Spain.
You use "de" to imply possession of an item:
There is no apostrophe in Spanish, so we cannot say "John's car." You need to say "the car of John".
John’s car = el coche de John.
María’s pencil = El lápiz de María
The art teacher’s pencils = Los lápices de la profesora de arte/Los lápices del profesor de arte.
De + el becomes del
de + la does not change.
