We went over new grammar terms today. We have learned how to ask someone's name, and give your own. Today we learned how to ask how someone else is called, and give their name when asked. We also went over the numbers and asking people's age.
To ask someone their name, you ask:
Tu t'appelles comment? = What is your name?
And to answer, you say:
Je m'appelle... = My name is...
To ask for someone else's name, you ask:
Il s'appelle comment? = What is his name?
Elle s'appelle comment? = What is her name?
To give their name, you say:
Il s'appelle... = His name is...
Elle s'appelle... = Her name is...
To ask someone how old they are, you ask:
Tu as quel âge? = How old are you?
To say how old you are, you say
J'ai... ans. = I am... years old.
